Mr. Saedler is a Mechanical Engineer specializing in vehicle accident reconstruction and mechanical component failure analysis within the transportation industry. He conducts forensic investigations involving passenger vehicles, truck tractors, trailers, and motorcycles, with expertise in event data recorder (EDR) downloads and analysis. His work helps determine the root cause of vehicle accidents and mechanical failures, supporting legal, insurance, and corporate clients.

Mr. Saedler holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and is certified as an accident reconstructionist by The Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #1914).

Prior to joining EDT, Mr. Saedler spent 18 years as a forensic mechanical engineer and accident reconstructionist, providing expert analysis for complex vehicle incidents. Before that, he worked for Daimler Chrysler and a major motorhome manufacturer for a combined 15 years, where he played a key role in mechanical system design, product development, and manufacturing process improvements. His background also includes experience in plumbing and HVAC system examinations, air pollution control equipment design, and pipeline engineering.

In his free time, Mr. Saedler enjoys spending time with family, following sports, and hiking.
